Dear Family,
So the new years was a pretty sleepless night. We had to be in at 7:00 pm and we just sat in the house all night. Here in the Philippines it is way different than how we celebrate the New Year. People actually throw fireworks and each other and they have fireworks going off ALL night HaHa!! I guess its really not funny but now that I look back on it, it kinda was.
So around 1 am our neighbors came up and pounded on our door and yelled at us to come down and eat with them. Well I wasn't in any objection to doing that so we went down and ate and then finally came home got some rest.
We have been having a ton of dinner appointments lately and I have been eating a ton because so far I have liked all that has been served to me.(I know I am as shocked as you are).
So this morning I woke up face to face with a giant spider, bigger than the one that you saw in the pictures I sent home. Well all I can say is that he was the first thing I saw and the last thing he saw was a stream of alcohol and a flaming match coming at his face!! Yes one more pyro act on my part and yes I have to say that I did enjoy it Heehee!
So this week we may have had some great food but our work was the worst! We only had like 11 lessons, it was terrible and we got punted from so many appointments it wasn't good. Then me and my companion got in a fight, we are not getting along very well and i know that its affecting our work. I am trying my best to seek inspiration and to find things that we have in common but its pretty tough. Patience is playing a big role in my life right now and I am glad to say that today it has been good so far and I hope it continues to get better with each day.
I hope that you all have a great week, Happy Birthday to me!! Haha Just Kidding Happy Birthday to Paige and Morgan!!!!!! 20!!!!!. I love you all so much and I hope that your week is great. I will try to attach a picture of the spider that i killed. Please send pictures this week some of Christmas and the snow please:)Love Elder Mulliner

Dear Family,
Well it was great to get to talk to all of you finally and to talk to you about my mission and what has been happening to me and what has been going on at home. I can’t believe that this year has pretty much just come and gone especially the last 5 months! I can’t put it into words what its like to be teaching the gospel, to people I don’t know, in a language that I don’t quite understand. It's simply amazing. Some lessons I worry about what I will say and if I'm even saying it right. Then there are lessons where I have no idea what I even said and my companion tells me that I don’t teach what I know about the gospel, I let the spirit do it. Well if that’s true I don’t know, but I do know now, and will never forget how important the spirit is in our lives. We have a guide, a compass, a friend, and most of all something that we are always conscious about. As a missionary it’s a lot easier to feel when the spirit is in the lesson or if its not, and if its not there is no point in teaching. That’s something that our mission president really stresses to us, is that we have the spirit. So I'm always on the look out for if I have it or not. It's very easy to lose that spirit here. There are so many distractions and things that can take away from the work, but I do my best to stay focused, and the lord makes up for the rest. So this morning I washed a ton of clothes that my finger's actually started to bleed. But soon it will turn into a caulis… I hope lol. So then we went up to our church and the ward was having a sports fest with the youth so I played some basketball, and some table tennis, and then we went and ate at a calinderia which is just a place where you go and choose a ulam for your rice( a topping like chicken) and then you go sit down and eat. I had the chicken curry which is really good! Then we came back to our area and I got a haircut, and now I'm emailing, later we are going to go teach an investigator and then contact a referral, so hopefully we will get a new investigator tonight. Speaking of new investigators there is a few Americans that live here and we ran into one that lives in our area and I started talking to him and he and his wife are from Boston. He told us to come over to his house around Christmas time so we went over last night and got talking about the Philippines and the states. His wife is a Filipino, but is from Boston, I told him that I have a friend serving there and he said that he lives about 40 miles away. I cant remember the name of the city but its close to Boston. Then we talked about his life in the military! He was a general for the Air Force and is about to retire form some school board. He comes and goes but he is planning on moving here for good. So then I asked what his religious background was and what he believed about god. He believes that our heavenly father, Jesus Christ, and the holy ghost are three separate beings and that he is a Lutheran. I shared a little bit about the first lesson and asked if we could come back. He said that would be great and that he wanted a book of Mormon for here. He mentioned that he had one in the states and that he reads it from time to time, so we will go back to him sometime and see if we can get him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon, I hope that he will. I feel like he has some potential so we will see. So it wasn’t me trying to call on Christmas, it might have been our land lord who was trying to call, I don’t know what he would want to call for but who knows. So that’s my week and it was great. We had some fun this week and it was a lot better this week then last so I hope that it will get better and better. So it sounds like you all had a great Christmas and that it was fun for Peyton! What did everyone get?? I hope that your not getting to cold over there and your all being safe! I love you all!!! I can’t wait till mothers day! (When is that by the way ha ha) I love you again. Send some pics of Christmas in the next email if you could! :)

Dear family!
So I guess I need to apologize for opening my Christmas packages early (I am sorry). The assistants to the president brought them over and within the following couple of days I had to be preparing to pack if I got transferred. Which is probably the reason they brought the packages over when they did. So I had to open them so that I could situate everything in my suitcase. I am sorry for opening them early, but it had to be done! But again thanks to all who sent me something! It was great fun even though it was early.(and still is)
So we had our baptism on Saturday and we ended up baptizing 4 people. It was so amazing to play a part in all of it. There should have been 5 but something happened to one of our investigators and she ended up not showing up. Tonight we are going over to check it out and I hope that she still has a desire to be baptized.
So transfers came and I didn't get transferred, but Elder Hanks did. My new companion is a Filipino and his name is Elder Alcoy. So its going to be good that i have a Filipino comp to learn the language better. But I have to say that I do miss having an American haha, it's just so different. Wish me luck and pray for us both. We had a ward Christmas party on Saturday and it was fun to go and watch all the kids have a good time with there activities and games. A lady that owns a really good restaurant brought some spaghetti over and it was sooooo good! Then this other lady had some cheese flavored ice cream, home made. Its not exactly what you would call ice cream lol, but it was still good.
So i should be calling from a cell phone and the time you suggested is perfect to call and I will call around 11:30 and talk to all of you! (Oh I can't wait) It doesn't really seem like its Christmas to me because I am not with all of you. Also its like a billion degrees here and I wish I could see snow lol!!! Still as hot as it is everyone says that they are cold and they all have jackets on. All the American missionaries are still sweating and dying of heat. At night I use a fan and my companion thinks I am a nut case. Its funny to see his face as he shakes his head as I stand in front of the fan to cool off.
So the annual Polar Express night was Sunday night? It looks like you all were having a good time from the picture! Hey Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!!! I hope you have a great day! I cant wait to call on Friday!!! I hope you all have a great week! I love you all very much! We will talk soon!!!!

Well all I can say for myself is WOW!!!! 133.56 ounces of peanut m&m’s, 14 boxes of mac and cheese and a grand assortment of tasty treats!!! Yes the smile on my face is gigantic! I hope that the treats last me at least two weeks or more!!!! JK - Thank you all so much for the packages and especially to all who wrote me letters, that was my favorite part!! Tyler’s and Ashley’s made me laugh pretty hard I am still laughing about some funny cartoons and humor they sent to me. Thank you all so much for taking the time to write me, it really means a lot.
OK so the One thing that I really need is the time zone difference so I can know when to call. I really have no idea what it is so please try to figure something out with that.
Well this week went by really fast its most likely my last week with Elder Hanks which is sad because we have had some great times and so many funny times together. We have a few elders coming in from Utah. I know that one is from Lindon, his name is Elder Ellis. (So close to Home!)
This week I Had to get my suit pants let out. Yep, I have gotten a little rice belly going on and I just stand in front of the mirror and look at myself in disgust, haha just kidding its not that bad its just funny.
Finally there has been a few more people put up Christmas lights and little kids go around caroling for money. Its really sad when they come up to us and ask us for money because we aren’t allowed to give them any. We say we don’t have any money which is awkward when we have just walked out of the local drug store or market that we have clearly spent money in.
I was able to watch the Christmas devotional last night in our stake center and it was great and the music was awesome! All the talks were great and I especially liked Pres. Monsons talk it was my favorite. (can you believe this is me saying these words to you?) My mission has really changed me!
The language is slowly coming along and I think it would help if I had a Filipino companion but I am doing okay.
That’s good news that there is finally some snow on the ground. The people here think that our weather is cold and everyone is wearing jackets and stuff. We walk into their house sweating to death and its really funny when they look at us sweat while they freeze. They ask us what snow is and what it feels like and what do you do with it. Oddly its hard to explain snow to someone who has never seen it before but we try to do the best we can.
That’s crazy that we have 7 missionaries out from our ward. Are there anymore planning on going out anytime soon or are we done for a little while?
Its funny that you mentioned Grandma Jeffery because I have been thinking when the last time I saw her was and it has been a while. Be sure to take pictures of her and send them my way. Also send pictures of the snow and Peyton building the first snowman of the year.
I hope that everyone is doing well and that your all having a great time do what ever it is that you do each day. I am loving it here and there is nowhere else I would rather be! Yes I do miss the little things and all of you very much! But I know that there are people that need what we have and with the Lords help, me and my companion can give them that. It has been hard, but my life has changed so much in the past year I cant even explain it. This gospel is the only way to have true happiness and joy.

Hello!
So I just got your email all typed up and I pushed the send button and there was something wrong with the page and it got lost! So here I am typing it again.
So this past week has been great. We have 4 baptisms coming up and also transfers. On the 17th is our transfer day and on the 19th we have 3 of our baptisms and then next week we have one more baptism scheduled. It's a great week ahead.
We have been keeping busy which is always good. We went over to a families house for dinner for the moms birthday and had some great food and some pie called buko pie. All I can say is that it was so good!!! You can only get this pie in the southern part of our mission for some reason. It was made of coconut it’s kind of like a pudding but its way good. We don’t really get any dinner appointments anymore I dunno why but I wish they would invite us over more haha.
Christmas here isn’t anything like at home. There are only a few people who even have fake trees, which are little, and then a few have lights on their house. It's really going to be weird with no snow and no family! At least I get to talk to you guys! I’m really excited for that. Whats the time difference there? I have no idea what time it is when I email you. So if you could look that up on the Internet or something and let me know that would help out a lot. I can call on Christmas or Christmas Eve if that would be better? I don't know which would work better for you. That’s awesome that Peyton wasn’t afraid to go see Santa! I bet if she is really good she will get the real cup cake maker she asked for, but only if she is really really good!!! I cant believe how big she is in that picture you sent! Dang she is getting tall. So Dad you finally got released out of the scouts! Now you can get called to a counselor in the bishopric! That’s my guess anyways. It sound like the ward activity was fun and can anyone tell me what kind of food you had?
How is everyone doing and what’s everyone been up to? How are the Davies and Hemenways doing? Hows Chase, Carson and Caden doing? Let me know about everyone who live around us and what's going on back home.
Well I love you all and miss you! I hope you have a great week!

Hey Hey!
well today was the most astig(cool) pday ever! We went down to the southern part of our districts area and we went to a crocodile farm! It was sweet. I guess the filipinocrocodile is really rare and they pretty much raise them on the farm and release them back into the wild. Well any who i got to hold about a 15 month old croc! Wow it was sweet and it was hissing at me while I was holding it. I did get a few pictures of it so you'll just have to wait and see them when I send home the CD. So after that we went to this river that was close by the farm. Amazingly it was blue, like clear blue, and it's the only place in the Philippines that the water is like that. We hiked around there for a while and then we heard some helicopters coming around the corner and the 2 helicopters landed pretty close to where we were hiking. So we went over and talked to the guys and i guess it was the Philippine Air Force. I did get some sweet pictures of us right by it and by the outside turret gun thing. Wow it was Sweet! So that was the highlight of the my week as far as the adventuring goes.
It was a really fast week and I have to say that I really miss having turkey!!! I also miss being around the table during dinner with all you guys! I think Christmas is going to be a weird one for me, but we get to talk!
I am glad the the party for grandpa's 80th birthday was a success and that it all went well. I bet is was great to see everyone and for grandpa to see all his friends.
So as far as the pictures go, I will be sending home a CD with all the pictures I have taken so far on it. My companion said it wouldn't be a good idea to send home my camera card because the envelope would have a really good chance of getting opened. He got a letter in the mail a while ago and we could tell that it had been opened and looked through and the person who opened it just put a little tape on the seal. I hope I can fit a CD in the bubble package you sent. I also saw the family picture that Paige sent and i laughed when i saw the blown up picture of me. I have to say that it looks a little funny and please tell me that Peyton is standing on something and that mom isn't getting shorter!!!! Wow Peyton has gotten huge in the past 4 months! I can hardly believe it!
It's almost December and I cant believe how fast this year has gone! It crazy. What have the girls been up to? Has Morgan been able to take her exam yet for school? Hey Paige, that's pretty crazy that you found a dead dude at work! How was that?
Well that's my report for this week, I hope you all have a great week!! I love you all!

Hey,Hey!
so here are a couple of pictures, i hope that they are okay and the quality isn't to bad. One of them is with me and the sign for the golf course and the other one is the baptism that we just had on Saturday. The mans name is Dominidor Gasper and he is in the army transporting people to different places depending on where they need to go. So to answer your questions... the area is packed with people and there are lots of cars!!!! The pollution is pretty bad at times and its really noisy. The peoples homes vary in size and they are all made differently. Cement is about the only thing used for the floors, the walls, and well everything. If its not cement its some kind of a wooden thing that I'm not sure what they call it. Bamboo and then some kind of woven straw for the roof. If the house has tile that means that the people are fairly well off and there are some really really nice houses here its really amazing to see a little tiny house next to a huge House that has its own compound. The People do a lot of different jobs here for income. Some just drive people around all day, some dentists, doctors, teachers, babysitters. Its about the same as in America but the pay scale is really different. If a person is making about 5000 pesos a week that's really good. Some of the people are nice to the Americans and others are not so nice. It's funny most people are scared of us so we don't really have any problems. Well except I got shot in the head by some kids air soft gun while he was driving by (it didn't really hurt but we felt like scaring the taƩ out of him)!! So we ran after the tricycle and when we got to the house that it was parked at my companion talked to the parents and then the kid came out and he about fainted when he saw that it was us! Oh it was really funny and then the parent yelled at the kid and he got busted! My companion was laughing so hard and I thought it was pretty funny as well. So back to the questions you have asked... no one asks about our name tags unless we are having a conversation with them. The girls all think that we are very handsome (they are correct) and sometimes they take it a little to far and say some really bad stuff to us. (would make you blush Mom). Then there are other times the older ladies tell us "maganda ang mga mata mo" which means your eyes are beautiful.... awkward!!!! We just smile and leave haha.
So it finally has been raining and cooled down a little bit so that's great news. Lets see.... this week has gone by really fast its crazy I have been in Ilagan for 2 months tomorrow and 4 months yesterday since my mission began. Wow time has been flying and I really am glad I am here.
I got and email from Blair and he said the Ty has been out for 6 months - that seems crazy!
So our baptism went great and all was well. We have 2 more for the 12th of December and we should have 2 more for about the same time. We will give them a baptismal date this week and I am very happy for them all.
So whats everyone been up to this week? Hows school and work going?
Oh one thing that would be helpful that you could send me would be some really good face wash. The stuff here is terrible, so that would be really nice to have.
Thanks for everything! I love you all!

so here are a couple of pictures, i hope that they are okay and the quality isn't to bad. Hellooooo,
well Ilagan is great! The week has gone by pretty quick and it seems like time is flying by. Just think next week I will have been out for 4 months which is really crazy!!
It's really hot here and this week it hasn't rained at all. I was hoping for a huge downpour so it would cool off for a little bit but nope - nothing has happened haha.
We won't get anymore missionaries in out apartment because the president hates it when more than one set of missionaries are in the same apartment. So Elder Hanks and I will be the only ones here for the rest of the time the church rents this apartment.
You keep asking me to send you some pictures with my emails. I can send some pictures over the Internet but it takes a really really long time and there is a chance that my card will get a virus so that's why I haven't done it. Sorry about that!
This week Elder H. got a little sick and hasn't felt so good so we have only been going to our set appointments and not anything else so he can rest. We have a baptism on the 21st for Bro Gasper who is in the army and I am very excited for him. I have to say that I am really excited for all the people who we are teaching. Its really cool to teach our message that's so important to someone who has never heard it before. We taught the word of wisdom to a lot of our investigators this week and I hope that the ones who have a problem with coffee and tea will be able to keep their commitments and do all they can to accept our challenge and be baptized.
Elder Hanks is still the district leader and he wont get released but will probably get move up to a zone leader but not for a while.
Well I couldn't help myself but I finish off the bag of m&ms but the good news is that I did find a bag of the nibs that you sent and I was very happy! Thank you for the Sweet treats!!! I have a wicked tan line on my arm and neck from my proselyting clothes it to is pretty sweet.
The pictures you sent made me laugh! Peyton is a goober as she loses her teeth and yes its a very good thing that I'm here and not there so I wouldn't make fun of her because she would cry a lot haha just kidding.
So they painted our apartment this week which was really not convenient at all because we have to move so much stuff around so they could do it. It didn't even need to be done but they thought it needed it, so today we have just been cleaning their mess up and getting our house back to normal. Great times!!!
That is great that Peyton is doing great in school and that she is learning a lot about reading and stuff. Keep doing good Peyton. How did Morgan do on her tests for school? How was Paige's finals and stuff? Whats the weather like there is there snow?? Send some pictures of the snow with my Christmas package so the people can see what it looks like.
Well i would email Mckensie some Tagalog but i have no idea how to spell half of the words that i can say. So maybe in the later months I will and we can see how that works out. I have to say that Dads truck looks so funny to me. What is Snapon thinking? I got an email from Elder Hemenway and it was great to hear from him! I emailed Art a while ago but I haven't heard from him so if someone is going by Quiksilver one of these days, drop in and tell him to check is "supatoad" email. Thanks for all your prayers and support! I love you all so much and miss you all! Tell everyone I say hello!

Hey hey hey!
well this week didn't go by as fast as last week but it did go by ha ha. Well to answer your big question I didn't get transferred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very excited about that!!! We still have one baptism lined up for the 22 and the other one we had fell through because the girl needed to get married before we can baptize her (because she and her boyfriend are going to have a baby). So we have to wait until next year sometime for them to get married. I did get you package and Grandma Anderson's letter and a letter from Grandma Mulliner too, its good to get actual mail and the package was perfect! mmmmmmm! It had all the food I miss and will miss for two years haha. I ate the mac and cheese, the nibs, and most of the nuts I just couldn't help myself. The M&M's, I am trying to have some self control on because those are really really expensive here and if I eat them all in one day I don't know what I'm going to do for the rest of my life (or mission).
So the language I am learning little by little everyday, its really frustrating and I feel like punching Tagalog in the face sometimes but I cant because its not tangible so I cant..... It will just takes time (that is what I hear all the time). Some good news is that the zone leaders moved out of our house! We cleaned it a little this morning but had to stop because some random people came in and started painting... it was weird. Its so nice with just me and Elder Hanks in our house. Its got 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so its pretty big, plus its the 2nd nicest place in the mission and its even better when its clean haha. The bugs don't really come in very much we have a few lizards and a ton of dang ants but there is nothing we can really do about that. We found a store that has American imports in it and they had this stuff called goober. Its jam and peanut butter mixed in strips and of course I bought some. Then they had real butter so we got some for the mac and cheese and they had salsa!!! But no chips, so we didn't get any!(dang) We did get some really good pork and had spaghetti yesterday and lots of coke! I love coke!!
We had to fire the clothes washing lady because I guess we just cant have one, but we have a laundry mat here so we take our clothes (except our garments) and the people there put our clothes in the washer and dryer. The better news is that its cheaper for the washer to do it then the lady so that's good. Oh yeah- I forgot to mention this last week but I guess they don't have boxes or those bubble packages here. So before I can send a CD home with my pictures on it I need a bubble thing. I am sorry its going to be a while before you guys get some pictures, sorry! I heard that Peyton is growing up pretty fast, will you email me some pictures of all of you guys so I can see how you've grown haha.
Well I gotta get going I love you all so much! I miss you tons!

Family!
well this week has gone by so so fast its weird that's its November already and its snowing! My companions family emailed some pics of the snow and I'm going to miss that sight (but not really). So we had our baptism on Saturday it went great. There wasn't a lot of people there but that's normal (I guess) here in the Philippines. We have transfers coming up and I hope I don't get transferred!!!! I really like this area and our ward is pretty sweet. Last week we had almost 200 people in our ward show up! It was nuts and everyone came up to us and was thanking us for our great work and for being really diligent. We really didn't do all of it - there are so many inactive members here its really bad. So we went and visited a few of the families and invited them to come to church but we didn't see any of them. Oh well, we will just have to keep trying to get them to come back I guess. Well lets see, the week went by so fast i cant think of anything to say haha. Yesterday went buy really slow and they don't celebrate Halloween at all here (so no trick or treating). November 1st is called all Saints Day and then today is called the Day of the Dead or something like that. All saints day is pretty much a big day for people to go and pay their respects to the dead family members or something of the sorts. We didn't get to teach anyone after church got out, really no one wanted us to come around. Not even the members because of this holiday so we walked around for a while trying to get in a lesson and we couldn't. Then my companions stomach started hurting so we went home about 7 and played monopoly for a while then went to bed. So here is some good news- the zone leaders are moving out this next week and we will be able to have the apartment to ourselves. It will be able to be clean for longer then a day! They are really messy and lazy so we clean up after them a lot (kinda exactly like a mom) haha. We made some no bake cookies this week and boy were they good!!!! They don't taste like the ones back at home because everything is different here but they were still good!!! So it sounds like you guys had a great Halloween with Dad scaring people and Peyton having fun on the Halloween train and trick or treating. This year has gone by so fast and so has my mission! Man its weird! I hope I get your package on Thursday, that would be one good thing about getting transferred. Plus there are three McDonald's here so if I get transferred to a city with one of those bad boys I would be in heaven haha! I got elder hemenways email last week, it seems like he is doing great! I need to get his email somehow could you help me out on that one? That would be great! Well its been great to read all of your emails and see what your all up to. I gotta get going and I miss you all and love you all!

Dear family!
So this week was a lot more calm than last week, no one almost got shot, I was cured from stomach problems, our teaching was great and we cleaned the apartment really really well! The apartment is all white tile so its really hard to keep clean and I have to say that I am glad that I have a mom who loves me and made me clean a few times because our house is nasty!! I cleaned the bathroom and stuff so now the once brown tiles are now white like they should be. Me and my companion are really the only ones who clean, the other companionship is moving out on Saturday so we will have the whole place to ourselves for a little while and that will be nice. Our transfers are coming up so I may not have to much longer here, which is really sad because this area is really nice(even with a nasty apartment). Plus we are going to be having a few more baptisms coming up so I hope that I don’t get transferred.
One of the elders support money got stolen last week at their baptism. I gave him 1,000 pisos that I had from my support so he could have food for a little while longer. So if I run out of support I will have to draw from my personal account, just a heads up. Lets see we have a baptism on the 31st of October - yep Halloween! It should be a good baptism and I hope it goes well. We received a referral last week from one of the members in the ward. So on Sunday we went on splits along with one of the members that likes to come work with us and went over to her house. We taught her a little bit about the gospel and we left her a little pamphlet to read. She said that she had to ask her husband if it was okay that we teach her and she did ask him and now we are able to teach her. She seems really receptive to our emails and she gives good answers to the questions that we ask her. We even got her to come to church and I was shocked when she actually showed up, but very happy to see her! We will be going over to her house on Tuesday so we’ll see how she liked attending church. We also gave another one of our investigators a baptismal date on Sunday as well but it isn’t until late November because he can only be taught on Sundays after church. He is in the army and that keeps him busy during the week. He has come to church every week for like 2 months which is really good! It's raining outside right now… big surprise haha -its always raining! Yes I do have an umbrella so I stay somewhat dry. I found out that I'm staying in the same room that Blair Frei (Sherees nieces boyfriend) did. His name is written on a couple of things in our room. It's cool to know someone that I know was here before I was so tell Sheree that and she can tell him that(got that). So lets see, I'm starting to eat a lot of the fruit here, its so much better then in America and most of it doesn’t make my throat swell up, so that’s good news. There are these little bananas that are really good but the only problem is that I can eat like a billion of them in one day. The food here is really good and everything is just chicken and rice. Whenever we are hungry my companion always says; “well, I'm sick of chicken, what can we eat?”. Its pretty funny, because well…. there is only chicken and fish but we don’t buy any because it will stink up the house. One day we found pancakes in a store and well to be honest I'm obsessed with pancakes right now!!! So there is a little bit of useless info about me but something that I thought I would share with all of you. haha! I cant believe that 3 months have already gone buy its very crazy and its going by so fast! Oh yeah I heard that Kenny and Jerah are engaged! So congrats to them!!!! That’s awesome! Well I cant think of anything else to say so I'm off to the palangke to buy some food once again.
I love you all so much! Love elder Mulliner

Hello family!
So this week went by so fast! It started out with a rain storm and I now understand the meaning of “when it rains it pours”! It just dumps here it's so ridiculous haha. We play basketball with whoever is there and I don’t ask who is a member and who is not, but I think everyone is. We didn’t go play golf today because they don’t carry lefty clubs so we didn't want to go and play with short right handed clubs.
Our baptism went great it was so awesome and I was so excited for the sisters that getting baptized. On Halloween day we have set a date to baptize a kid named jay-ar. We told him that it was on Halloween and he just looked at us so puzzled so I don’t think they celebrate that holiday here. So I guess no trick or treating for me! So I got a pretty bad stomach problem this past week (it was awful). We think that I drank some bad water from the members and I got sick from it. So for about 3 days I was living in the bathroom and I won't get to graphic but I think you know what I mean. I was given some pills to take that the presidents wife gave me and she said to take them for my stomach pain and after a few days it went away and all is well. As far as Christmas goes I really have no idea what you could send me right now. There is really nothing that you could send me that I need that I couldn’t buy here. The only difference is that here everything is fake and cheap and depending on what it is, it’s a whole lot cheaper here. Well except for American candy that’s really only thing you could send me. There is some candy here that I could buy for you all here and send it home to you and that could be my gift to you all for Christmas. I don’t know if you guys would care if I did that or what.
So I hear Jeremy is starting his own business or something? That’s so sick! What’s the name of it? Give me some details about that It would be great to hear how things like that are going. How are the snap on decals going? Are they sticking on any better? Send some pictures of what it looks like when you get it all done.
Lets see what can I tell you? My companions name is Nathan Hanks. We get along so that’s good! Its so sad to hear that Alex Lew has cancer! I about died when I read that! Tell them that they are in my prayers. Man that’s not a good deal, I hope that the doctors can get rid of it and let me know how Chris is doing? I hope he is well. I got a letter from Aunt Tracy and Uncle Brad. They wrote me and told me a little about Christian and what he is doing in boot camp. They said that he cant write letters yet but he can get their letters and that’s good that there is at least some communication. I would die if I couldn’t hear from anyone or write anyone! That would make me go nuts.
So Morgan thinks she is a big shot because she is graduating in a little bit huh?? Haha jk morg! That’s so cool! I hope that you can get a job somewhere! I think that Paige would be a great school teacher if she is interested in that. I think that a school teacher would fit her. Keep me updated on the school stuff Paige! And also get out of my room lol! Fatty! How’s Peyton and her school? How’s teaching going? What’s everyone been up to?
So there was a pretty bad accident this week down the street from our house it was a tricycle and a truck. The tricycle was pretty thrashed! It got thrown into a shop and the gates that they put around the shops so that no one breaks the windows. It was bent away and the glass was all busted and shattered - not good! Then on another day we were driving in a jeep and there was a guy riding a motorcycle that was behind us and like all drivers, the jeep signaled for a turn and began to turn right. Well the guy on the motorcycle decided that he was going to pass us but we were already turning right. So he slams on his back brake and his tire start to fish tail all over the place and he almost went face first into the road- but he didn’t. So he comes to a stop and gets off and our driver stops, he comes over and start yelling at the driver and they have a conversation about who did and who didn’t signal. Well the dude got even more mad and says “gusto mo patay kita” which means you want me to kill you! In the mean time Elder Hanks was thinking what does this guy have a gun? Well guess what happens next? The dude pulls out a gun and points it at the jeep driver and his wife and child who were in the front seats next to him. Then he realized that there was a jeep full of people and was right next to the capital building. So he calmed down and we drove off without anyone getting shot. So that’s what happened this week and as you can see it's been a pretty crazy week! Well that’s pretty much all that happened but there is a typhoon down in Manila and today or sometime soon we thought is was going to be up here but it didn’t hit. I hope it doesn't come up here at all because its suppose to be stronger than the last one that came through. All is well as of today so that’s good.
Well I hope that your all doing well and that you have a great week! Thanks for all the love and support! I love you all so much!

Dear Mama/family and friends!
Hello everyone! This week has been great! This letter is going to be really random because I'm going through your emails and answering all the questions. Well the typhoon came back and brought so much more rain, but less wind, we sat inside all day and didn’t do much. The pants I bought aren’t ugly but well... they aren’t American. I'll just put it that way but they are nice, my companion is from Murray Utah. We went to the golf course today but didn’t play because they didn’t have any left handed clubs, but, next Sunday when we teach this investigator who is in the army, we are going to ask him if he wants to go because he can get us in for free and it would be worth the rent of right handed clubs. The course is just a short walk from our house, its really weird to see this nice cut grass and a putting green over all the ugly grass and the trash that’s everywhere. We did some service last week at the church we cleaned up all the leaves that were EVERYWHERE! You would die at the sight of all the leaves that come off all the trees its crazy! Yes we do get up at 5:30 to go play basketball (paglaro tayo ng Basketball) but its really not that early for us, it gets light really, really early and get dark at like 6:00 its very annoying, everyone is up and running by 6 so its usually really loud so I just lay there wishing I could go to sleep. My companion usually does the cooking and we both wash the dishes ( I know its shocking)! He was complaining about not having a dish washer and I just started laughing it was so funny. We hired someone to come do our laundry. She is a member and we pay her with our own personal money and not the “sacred funds”. It's really nice because its kind of hard to wash clothes with a scrubbing bar and a bucket of water but I don’t really mind it, its just time consuming. So those pics that Kens sent are so sweet! That’s so cool that Jeremy got to do that! I have been taking some pictures too but I don’t have enough to make it worth it to send home a CD yet, but I will in a little while. Transfer day is on November 5th so if your going to send me something get it out about 3 weeks prior to that date and I'll be able to get it then. I'm trying to think on what you could send, candy and beef jerky and some Mac and cheese! They have American candy here but its so expensive! Oh yeah maybe a fun card game too (not phase ten though lol) the teaching is going well our investigators seem really receptive and the two people we are baptizing on Saturday (17th) have really strong testimonies. The older one of the two is a mom of 3 two girls that live in Manila and her boy is 7 his name is Justin and he gets so excited when we come over to teach! He grabs our hands and pulls us in as fast a he can! It's so funny. The other one is a younger girl (15) and she is an awesome investigator! I'm so excited for them! Saturday and Sunday are going to be such great days. Now the language…. Well I learn words here and there, the sentence structure is just to weird to me, I'm not really going anywhere with it but I just have to keep trying. Its really about half and half in the English to Tagalog in the city tons of people talk English but its so terrible I would rather just have them speak Tagalog and not understand what they are saying and nod my head then not understand their English haha and yes we really don’t tract for a couple of reasons, the people find it offensive if we are going door to door. And during the day its really hard to get to someone just randomly walking up so we set up appointments to return and they are usually there. We got a ton of referrals from the members last night because we went on splits with a couple of the ward members because we had so many appointments to fill so we got a ton of referrals. It's hard to work here a little because the last missionaries were really disobedient and stopped teaching some of the progressing investigators so some of them are mad at us but we are fixing it. Usually we decide beforehand who teaches what and stuff so I have a little time to figure out what I'm going to say. So yesterday was conference it was in English and it was great! It went by so fast! A couple of our investigators came and said they liked it so that’s good. I had a hard time going to priesthood session without dad, it made me really sad! I miss the little big things like that. The meetings are split up into two days like they are there...Saturday and Sunday. So I think I answered all your questions you had a lot haha. So when I was reading about Thomas, it made me really sad the he had died, its really weird when someone passes away that you were friends with but thanks for sending me that! Well I hope your guys week goes by great! I hope it doesn’t get to cold their I wish you could send me some of that cold here, that would be nice! :) I miss you all and I love you all!!!! Go hit up the slopes for me at least once this year!:) Tell all my friends I say hi! Have them drop me an email or something sometime.

Hey!!!!
Well all is fine no one is hurt, we are all okay! We got put in lock down for a day because of the super Typhoon...we played phase 10 for hours and hours lol we are all sick of that game. I live with four elders. My companion is the DL and the other two elders are the ZL so I'm pretty much surrounded by the people that are awesome haha. We didn't have our baptism for the two sisters, the typhoon canceled that for us. Haha and we cant do it next Saturday because of conference so the 17th is going to be their date. We added one more for the month on the 31 so he will hopefully keep what we have taught him and if he comes to church we can baptise him. His sisters are members and his best friend so that's a good support system. He is 14and his name is Jr, he is a cool kid, but shy. Well I don't have an address to get to our house we just say baligatan sa royce. We live above a Royce motors. They sell scooters and stuff and the scooters here are so sick! Way better then America and every car here is diesel..it's weird. Well there are a few unleaded cars but not in this city, we ride jeepneys around all the time. I bought some "tayla" its material for pants so I'll get those tomorrow. I also bought two of those belts that I was telling you about, a brown one and a black one. I don't know when I'll get those, in a few weeks I think. We cleaned our nasty apartment last week! We had maggots in our sink.... that's how nasty it was, there are two bathrooms in our apartment and 3 bedrooms but the ZL's use one for their study room. We live right by a golf course!!!!! Well I think we do, if not its really close. We were going to go today but we didn't get time so we might go next week! We eat at our house more often then not now which is nice but it just takes a lot longer to eat. I got a haircut today(gupit) and you just sit down and they cut your hair, you don't tell them what kind they just do whatever haha. We went to the paleneke and bought some food there, i miss real milk, cheese, beef, American candy... the list goes on and on but the food here is good! We go over to the Dacauycauy family for f.h.e and they really remind me of our family, loud... haha they gave me a Tagalog dictionary to use haha everyone really wants me to learn Tagalog so quick but, its not that easy, but I'm trying to learn it as fast as i can. I'm still not very good but I've only been here a week so its all good. The typhoon pretty much blew all the leaves off the face of the earth, and it was pretty nuts, the rain was so crazy! The wind was like 2 kph so i have no idea what the is in mph. We went to the church and played some basketball this morning. We get up at 5:30 to go play because it gets so hot really fast, then went and ate at a kelenderia and then went home really quick and went shopping and bought food and whatever we wanted, my comp. got some pumas and a tie that I wanted but I don't want to spend my money to fast. Even though the American dollar can last a long time here I can go out to eat here for about $ 2.20 and get full! We eat at this place called Chow King and its so good! haha it's like panda but way cheap, after that we went and mopped the floor and showered, we are going out to some city I have no idea what it's called, but we are going to look for some sweet ties and get a letter that is going to our president. I'm not sure when zone conference is, I think in 5 weeks so not for a while. I hope that your all doing well! I love you all!

Hey guys!!!!!!!!
Well the Philippines is so insane! Where do I start? How I haven't died yet is a question I have been asking myself. You would freak out at the way people drive here! No traffic rules, no lanes, it's nuts! I have ridden a jeepny and I trike it's pretty crazy! We get flipped off a lot because we are white so they think we are rich but whatever haha. So the food is so good! We ate at this restaurant in Manila and I have rice of course and some egg roll things that I cant remember the name of, but its tasty! All the food is really good! I love it! The people are really nice and the members are great, we don't tracked, its useless in the Philippines so we get referrals so that's how we track I guess. We taught a lot yesterday. We taught a lot to mostly teenagers and a few older people. We are going to have 2 baptisms next Saturday and one at the end of the month so that's what my companion will be doing. We just started teaching a brand new guy he just showed up to church last week so we taught him the first lesson yesterday and then next Sunday we are going to the 2nd lesson. The language is nothing like the MTC! Everyone talks so fast its hard to understand them. I had to speak in church yesterday haha I just told about myself and bore my testimony and stuff like that. Our apartment..... its pretty nasty but we are going to clean it today so I hope we get it better. We have a toilet and a shower and running water, to flush the toilet we have to pour water down it and make it flush haha the water is cold so showers are freezing its really hard to get up and take a cold shower haha, its been raining like crazy here! Today is the first day we woke up to the sun. I slept a few hours in our 3 day travel so I was wasted I'm trying to catch up on my sleep though. My companion is cool, his name is Elder Hanks. He is from Utah. We played basketball today and it was hot! I'm afraid to play very hard because I think I'll break one of the little Filipinos haha they are so little! That big chair thing that dad saw isn't to far from my house, its so big! Jollibees isn't very good, their pancakes are though so sometimes we go there for breakfast, the food is cheap so we eat out a lot, mainly because there is no food at our house but we are going to shop today. I'm getting pants made today also so that's good. Yes it is hot here but its not the hottest in my city Ilagan. That hottest city is Tiggigurao, it's very very hot there, there are lizards in our house but not very many there are a few little spiders , I haven't seen any big ones yet though! I had some liver spread, it was alright but not my favorite, rice is good with everything so we eat that all the time. Coke is SO good. The president is very nice and his family is awesome he has three boys and they are all under 12 I think. Hong Kong is really dirty! We couldn't see very far and only a few of the buildings. I got some money and stuff so that was cool. The flights were so long and the bus ride was ridiculous. They play tons of American music here you would die haha. I have been whistled at by some baklas (gay men) haha it was creepy but you just ignore them the girls stare at me and think I'm cute, its really awkward when they say that in the middle of a lesson, its weird! Well that's all I can think of that I have done or seen or eaten haha! I'll talk to all of you next week. I love you all so much and I hope your all doing well. I love you all so much!! Send some oreos and chips ahoy if you can:) and haha I told Kens to send some oreos and m&M's, they don't really have American candy here but the candy here is good, everyone and their dog has a cell phone, I think that Philippines alone is keeping nokia in business lol tell everyone that I say hi!!! Oh yeah, Morgan, i never got the package that Ale sent to me so yeah I forgot to mention that. I got like all the dear elders that you sent me at the mtc here in the Philippines so I guess that some got sent here too so if that's an easy way to send letters you might want to look into that and see what/how you do that if you want. There are some really sick belts here made of caribou horns I'm pretty sure that Jer would want one haha so if he wants me to grab him one they are about 18 bucks, let me know if he wants one and I'll order him one, have him give you some money and put it in my account and I'll send it home when I get it I think it takes a few weeks to get on but I'll see. I think everyone would actually like one, well the guys because they are guys belts but anyways I gotta go I love you all so much!!!!!!!!

Dear Sister Mulliner,
Your adorable son is here!!! We love him already. What a great young man. He is strong and ready and will be serving not too far from here in Ilagan. With another American Missionary as his trainer. Elder Hanks - He is a great missionary and they will love it here. I do not want to give you too much news, I will let your son do that. I would like to tell you that President and Sister Villanueva are two of the most wonderful people that I have ever met. They are blessed to get to begin their mission with him. He will be here until July1 2010. Pres. is one of the most amazing and loving men I have ever met. He is strong - a CES man and a great teacher.
Thank you for preparing and raising such a wonderful son. We can already tell that he will make a great contribution to the mission.
He is happy and well and safe and loved!! I will send home a letter from the President and Sister in bout a week with a picture. It may take 2 - 3 weeks to get here. If you send packages we recommend that you put missionary supplies on it for the contents of the package. For Christmas - be sure and send it very early. They shut the post office down here for 3 weeks during the holidays - from Dec 23 - Jan 6 and more.
If there is anything that I can ever do for you and your son I would be thrilled to do so. Anything at All!!!
Thank you so much for getting my contact to him. It took me 6 months to get the wrong one. I cried. You just email me anytime and I will fill you in on your wonderful son.. We love him. Tell his triplet sisters he loves them. And the whole family He will email you next Monday - it will be Sunday your time.

Man this last week has gone by so fast! I cant believe it's already time to fly out of here in a few hours! I'm glad we got to go to the temple on our last day and enjoy that! It was great! Well packing for 100 pounds is like the most stressful thing that has ever happened haha not really but I had to condence everything I needed into 2 bags so the one you will be picking up will be the smallest piece of my luggage. That will be at the front desk with my name on the front of it. This last Tuesday night we got to here from Elder Holland!!!!!!! It was SO sweet! He is such a good speaker and is really motivating! It has been so cool to hear from two apostles while being here, so I cant wait to talk to you on the phone I'm so excited I don't know if you'll be up for me to call when I'm in lax or not but I'll call from there if I don't have time in salt lake, it will be late I think so I'm saying sorry in advance:) How was every ones week? What did you all do? How is school going and work? I hope that it's going great for everyone! I never got pics of kens and jers new house but email me some and I should be able to look at them. How are they doing? From what grandma said is that they are staying pretty busy and working a lot! I hope not to hard though. I hope they have a Wendy's or a McDonald's at the airport so I can eat some really good food:) everyone is so excited to go and to fly out, some are too excited and got a little frustrated last night and got a little hot headed it was crazy, so this last week we have just been getting ready to leave, nothing to exciting. Well we learned the hardest verb conjigation that they teach us here and its way hard there are a bunch of really weird rules like if the word starts with a P or a B you change the letter into a man, or a mam, or if the word starts with a k you just drop the k completely and don't even use is it :/ ha ha man its a hard one but its not very common so that's the good side of it. So its so crazy that Tyler is leaving on Tuesday! I'm pretty sure that he will get to his mission a few hours before I do because of the travel which is not cool!!! lol He seems really excited to go though we have seen each other a lot more in the past two days then we have the whole time we have been here! It's nuts, too bad we are leaving though and wont see him for 2 years, man that's going to be weird! So I had to get my shot this week and it cost me $93! Plus they had me get a flu shot so it was $109 I was so shocked at how much 2 little shots were, its nuts! Its also weird to think that I came here in the summer and now its fall how weird is that? But I'm glad to get out, i love the MTC, but I just think its going to be good to get out and onto my next adventure as a missionary. I have to make it through the flights and bus rides first though ha ha I cant wait to talk to you tonight!!!!! i miss you all so much I love you all so much also!!!

Hey guys!
So I got my flight plans last Thursday and you know how I always wanted to go to hong kong on my mission....? Well I get to go now! Me and all the other Cauayan missionaries (12) are flying there and then down to Manila we have about 30 hours of travel time and a really long bus ride ha ha so here's some things I need: toothpaste, mouthwash, baby wipes, sun screen? I think Morgan might get that for me?, memory card, my black fox racing shoes, a travel pouch thing you guys said you would get one to me so I think you know what I'm talking about but if not I dunno ha ha also do I need to take out any money for the trip? If so I'll do so, I have some stuff I need you to pick up on Tuesday morning, the day after I leave. There is some shoes, and some random stuff that I don't know why I brought and some stuff from Katelyn I cant take. Anyway this week has been great, I'm sad I only have one week left because I love the MTC, event though the language isn't where i think it should be, the food isn't the best, the sleep actually was good and I had a hot shower everyday, it's really hasn't been bad, I'm going to miss the spirit here so much. I'm so excited to leave though!!!! I cant wait! It's going to be so amazing in the Philippines! 2 months have gone by so fast it been crazy! I hope that I'll have a good first couple of days in the peens. I know that jet lag is going to kill me and from what I have heard I'm going to think I'm going to die from the bus ride to my mission home because the roads are very narrow and the mountains are very steep, but the Filipino people are some of the most skilled drivers in the world so I should be okay.... I hope. So how is everyone? I hope that all is going well, tell kens to check her e mail and write me back ha ha I haven't heard from them in a really long time, so if they have time tell them to write me. How's school going with all of you? Is Peyton having a blast or what? Hows the snap on buisness going? Hows dad? Hows the rosembaums? Davies? Everyone ha ha? I got a couple of pictures with Tyler at the temple yesterday so that was sweet! every time I see him it's so exciting ha ha its so crazy that he leaves just a couple days after me! It seems like we both just got here and now we are on our way to proclaim the gospel to the many people of the world. This is truly an amazing work! Tell grandma I say happy birthday!!! And also Carson! It was his a couple days ago so when you see him tell him that, that's so crazy that Kelli and Kelsey are getting married! Me and elder balaich went and did sealings right after our session and it was such an amazing thing! The spirit was so strong, holy cow! It was so sweet though! I hope that all of you guys are doing well and that your all having a good time at school and work I love you all so much and cant wait to talk to you next Monday! My flight is at 8:30 Monday night so I'll call before then if I can! I cant wait! Don't forget about picking up my stuff on that following Tuesday. Morgan might be able to get it on her way to school or something? I dunno if anyone will be there to get it for her though, but anyway I love you! Have a good week!

Kumusta Po Kayo Pamilya Ko!
Hello my family. How is everyone this day? Sorry about my email last week, the system was being really weird! Anyway, we taught for the second time the first lesson in Tagalog and we are going to be doing the second one on Thursday night so be sure to keep us in your prayers! ha ha Well there hasn't really been a change in the language but I know that the lord will help me out sooner or later. Yesterday was probably the longest day of my life! I was so hungry ah aha, and then we got to dinner and is was this nasty chicken think with ham and cheese inside, yuck! my companion hates cheese so he was really mad ha ha, I saw Tyler once this week and that's it. I need to talk to him but he doesn't know his email or his mailing address so if someone could get those to me in a letter that would be nice:) Also I ate all the almonds so I may need some more of those, I don't need any candy right now I'm set on that so that's good. I need my memory card back sometime soon though so I can have two when I get to the Philippines. We get our flight plan this week!!! I'm excited about that and I hope the next two weeks go by fast! How is everyone? How has football been going? I heard BYU won so that's good! I bet that game was so cool to watch! Who do they play next? Hows Jer and Kensies house? They said they would write and send pictures but I haven't gotten any yet. But its alright they are busy people, there is like 10 kids from my high school here and I think a couple kids are coming in on Wednesday. One of Paige's friends comes in I think its Daniel. He is going to japan..it's so crazy! Oh ya and that's so crazy that Chase and the Harris' grandson are going to the same place! That would be crazy if they were companions in the MTC! So I heard from grandma that rose rosenbaum isn't doing so well I hope that she get better! Tell them I say hello! Hows the ward doing any new changes in the bishopric yet? I have a feeling that dad is going to get a new calling sometime soon ha ha. Thanks for all your letters this week! They were all great, keep them coming! I love you all and I hope that your all doing well! I hope your toe gets better Peyton I'm sorry that it got hurt! Oh ya do you know our conversion story to the church? I would think that Grandma Mulliner would know a lot about how we came to be in this church, if you can have them write me and let me know I would like to see how that all came to be. Anyway I miss you all so much and I love you all! I hope your all doing well! I got Katelyn's package this week and a letter and some letters from both grandparents and you guys so thanks! I'll talk to you next week again!

Hey guys!
So the past week has been kinda crazy! I'm kinda sick. I have had a cough and runny nose for a while and Elder Lords broke his pinky knuckle. We got to go out into the real world TWICE!!!! It was awesome! Haha. I saw a sports illustrated and read a little bit of that, herd 3 full songs, rode in a big van, and talked to some random people. Everyone came up to us and shook our hands, it was awesome! I get to go back to the doctors with him next Wednesday. I got called as the district leader and have some responsibility and now I have to say everything in Tagalog but I cant say anything so I don't haha. I pick up the mail and make sure everyone is good. Some things that are said in my patriarcle blessing are starting to take effect and I have been seeing that so I'm way excited haha. We taught in Tagalog for the first time last week, it was really hard and i hope we do better next week with lesson 2 i only have one more Monday after today!!! I'm so excited to leave, I cant even tell you, even though I cant speak the language I just want to get out of here. Our district is hosting on Wednesday and I'm praying that I'll get to be Tyler's host so I can see him and the Hemenways! I got a letter from him and Katelyn today so that was good! I'm excited for Katelyn to start school and i hope she does well. I wrote a letter to Peyton on Saturday so you should get it by today I think. I sent some letters to Grandma Mulliner but I don't know if they got them or not because I forgot to put the house number 63 on it. I got a letter from Grandma Anderson! Their letters are always awesome! Well its time for kens and jer to start moving! I'm excited to see some pictures and to see what it looks like. How is Kenny? How is the internship going at the Real Salt Lake place? Is he married to Jerah yet? haha also I have acquired like 30 pounds of books that have to come with me to the Philippines so I'll be either sending some stuff home or I'm going to see if I can leave something and have you come pick it up. Also whats up with the sky today?? was/is there a huge fire or something? I dunno but we cant even see timp from here and we can hardly see squaw peak its crazy whats going on with that? How is everyone doing? I hope all is well I love you all so much and I miss you tons!

Hello!
Today has been the best regarding the past really hard couple days! I sent a letter home so you should get that soon. Today has been great! I gave Elder Lords a blessing of comfort and counsel so I hope that he will be able to feel at peace being here and not be so homesick. We went to the temple to do sealings but they were all full so we will have to try next week. I only have 3 more Mondays here so I hope we will be able to do that! It would be a cool experience. I got a package from grandma and grandpa Mulliner with some goodies and yes I did get the banana bread from Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. Thank you! Our room is back to a normal temperature so that's is good news, I also got a package from McKensie the had some good cookies in it haha. That's so crazy that school is starting! I hope that everyone will do good! P.s hahhahaha to Morgan because she got pulled over and got a ticket! ahaha I remember getting pulled over and not getting a ticket like twice ahaha but now that I'm on a mission I really don't care that you guys know because I cant get in trouble haha! So that's funny. Man this Tagalog thing is so hard! We have to start teaching in Tagalog on Thurs. I have put my faith in the lord from here on out and I hope that I will receive that gift of tongues as I strive to learn the language. P.s mom can you remember cool that the president blessed me with as I was getting set apart? If so write me and let me know. I know a few things but I was wondering if you could remember anything else. Lets see what else can I talk about?.... Will someone give Katelyn a hard time for me for not writing me in forever! haha and possibly Tyler I haven't heard from him in a while either so yell at him too. Make sure I get my longboard back to. How is everyone doing? Any updates on the air compressor? Whats new in the world? What happened with the Pratt thing?? Whats some good news? Elder Colman's grandma sends him the sports section every once in a while ahah he is so funny I wish we were friends before we came here! How is the moving process coming for Jer and Kens? Send some sick pics when you can! Along with some salted almonds, or something, I could use something salty so ya haha if you can/want to. Man I wish that I had an hour for this typing thing so I could talk about more stuff, a half hour isn't long enough! I got your pics from Tyler's farewell and I really wish I could have been there!! I hope I will get to see him! I hardly see Tyler Reese or Tyler Crandall. I hope I get to see my best bud before I leave though. I'm getting my suit dry cleaned today so that's pretty cool I guess. How are the rosenbaums doing? Who is doing their lawn? I have run into Sis Call a couple times... I don't know if you guys knew that or not. Anyway I gotta go. I love you all so much and I miss you all very much! MTC life is hard but I'm slowly pressing on and your all in my prayers. I'm so grateful for all you have done for me and for all the good times that we have had together!
Love,
Your son, grandson, brother, or whatever I may be to you. Haha

Haha

Hey Family!
How is everyone!? I got a letter from Paige, Aunt Lori and Uncle John, and Katelyn! Thanks everyone for the letters! The past couple days have been really hard but today has been great! We went to the temple and had that awesome experience! So now I'm just writing letters, so that's good! I just got am email from Tyler and McKensie too so that's awesome! I'm glad to hear that everything is well and that they are going to move out soon I bet they are way excited!! So whats been up with this weather lately? So retarded! It was freezing yesterday morning, well even more cold then usuall. Our residence hall has been at a pretty constant 60 degrees so its freezing all the time! How is school and work going for everyone? I hope that everyone is doing well. Has Paige started any classes? When does Peyton start? Is she way excited to go? So starting next week we have to teach and talk only in Tagalog! Ano byan!!!!! I don't know what I'm going to do because I cant say anything back to a person that doesn't have to do with a greeting or a prayer haha so I don't know what I'm going to do! I hope something will click or I'm in big trouble haha. We have to teach the second lesson again this week and then next week is the first lesson in Tagalog! I found out that we get to attend the new temple dedication next Sunday so I went and bought a white thing that you wave in the air so that was sweet! my mga kasama (companions) are doing well we are getting along so well it's great! I think we have the best companionship in the district but that's just me. how is the snap on truck holding up? I hope that everything well get better with that! I pretty much have cleared out my snack drawer. I finished off the oreos and the goldfish last night and I have a couple of fruit snacks left haha everyone is jealous that we always have food, it's the best! haha but we are running low so if you can send more...but you don't have to. A button came off on my suit yesterday for some reason. it was one on the wrist but I think I might sew it back on sometime. I hope all is going well and I miss you guys!!!!!!! mahal kita! (i love you).
Love,
Elder Tre Mulliner
P.S I do have a copy of our heritage and I read almost all of it yesterday! It's such a good book and I think it talks about great grandpa Samuel Mulliner in it? I don't know though. Mahal kita

Hey my family!
How is all?? I haven't received a letter form you guys in like 5 days what in the world is up with that? I did however receive 2 packages. one with some really good Cinnamon rolls, oh billy they were so good!!!! And then Katelyn sent me one with some cookies in it and some gummy-bears so that was good! I sent home my memory card with some pictures and a couple videos on it so look out for that. Anyways the temple this morning was good. Every time I go I think I'll see someone there from our family but I don't that's probably a good thing though because I would start crying if i did. Haha. We are starting the 2nd lesson this week so I'll have to teach that to some person and we have weekly language tasks that we have to do and this week we have to ask if they are ready for church and if they read the book of Mormon at all since our last "visit" so I'm working on getting that down. It's pretty hard and stressful but I have been able to have a basic conversation so far so that is good! I'm loving the fact that i can play basketball everyday and be able to learn everyday. At times it's really discouraging but I'm improving- that's what my teacher says anyways- i heard Scott Crane came home this week! That's awesome! I bet his family was so excited to see him! have you guys seen him at all? Anyway hows the home life? Anything going on in the news that's good? Who did that jazz draft? Will they be a good team this year? What happened with the bro Pratt thing? I'm just wondering. When does kens and Jer move out? How is Morgan and Paige doing? Whats Peyton up to? I hope all is well with everyone. I got a letter from Grandpa and Grandma Mulliner today and it was really nice. They told me how proud they were to see me going on a mission and that it's only been them dad and I go. That made me think of all that we have been blessed with and a lot of those blessings have been because they decided to serve a misson. Speaking of blessings and missionary work, one of the elders in my district has a mom that removed herself from the church records when he was 15 and last week she told him she didn't want to hear from him at all, so he was really bumbed out. He wrote her to tell her that he loved her and at the end of his letter he wrote his testimony in Tagalog and then in English and she read it and this lady came over to her house that night and had her come over to her house for dinner and the missionaries were there and they talked for a little while, to make a Long story short she went over to church on Sunday for the first time in 6 years and talked to the bishop and she wants to be worthy to go to the temple with him when he gets back off his mission! Isn't that the coolest thing ever! I don't really know if you guys have received any blessings yet but I do know that the lord looks down the road and there are blessings set aside for those who serve him faithfully, that's one thing that is really amazing about our church, everything has been planned and it's not by random chance that things happen. I love being here at the MTC and learning about this gospel, yes at time it's really hard for me to be here but i know that you and I will be blessed eternally for out choices in life. We have been doing the referral canter here and we can chat or talk with people about the church and yesterday we got into contact with a 14 year old girl who was really worried about whats going to happen to her when she dies and whats going to happen with her family. Well we pretty much taught the second lesson and about heaven and hell and how we can be with our families and all that kind of stuff, it was way sweet! I sent a letter home on Saturday so you should be getting that like tomorrow or something and then my camera card should be coming sometime after that. Well my time is up for the email but I love you all so much!!! I cant wait to hear from you and I hope you all are doing amazing! Keep me updated on things! I love you!
Love,
Elder Tre Mulliner.
P.s. I think Katelyn would like to get my emails too so if you could forward them to her that would be cool, thanks again for all you have done for me!

What up to all my Pamilya!
I have been getting all your letters and they are so great! I love them and will always love them so don't think that because I love them you can stop writing so much because I still love hearing form you! P.s dad you need to write me sometime and let me know how your holding up, I miss you and wish that your priesthood power was around me like it was at home. I just wanted to say that I'm so grateful you were always worthy and willing to give us blessings when we needed them! I love you dad. Mom thanks for the mail and awesome cookies that you sent. My companions loved them so much! Oh by the way my first companion got sent home for not being worthy so he will be back here in the MTC in 6 months... I now have two awesome companions named Elder Balaich and Elder Lords they are really awesome! Elder B. knows a ton about this gospel and the scriptures, it amazes me. And elder lords is so funny but he has had a hard time being here he has a separation anxiety or something so we have to go with him to counseling sometimes but he is improving everyday I think. I do miss you guys like crazy still and its still hard sometimes being so close but i will continue to stay here and be trained to teach the people of the Philippines. The food here sucks. I have lost weight but that's okay I guess. I don't eat much food but I don't feel hungry it weird... I fart like no other and they really stink (dad that was for you) can someone pull my finger?? (Morgan that was for you) haha. We are learning verbs in Tagalog and learning to put sentences together, its weird because they don't use what we would call "proper sentences" but that practice will make perfect. I received letters for Blair and Sis. Crane and G-ma and G-pa Anderson they are awesome! I will write them back today. Thank you Morgan and Paige for sending me letters and candy. Mckensie- I haven't heard from you, not to drop hints or anything, but seriously! Anyways I love you all so much!!!!!!! one thought I would leave you all for this week would be "obedience with exactness" live the law with complete obedience and you Will be blessed. Also in my room there is a preach my gospel I want you all to read it and gain stronger testimonies and become closer as a family. Also I need some shirts for p day I only brought three so some t shirts would be nice, and some mouthwash. I miss you all and I love you all very very much, this gospel is true and it is the only way we can get back to our heavenly father. Thanks again for the letters and I will write to you when I get a reply to this one.

Hey Family!!!!!!!!
It's my first p-day at the MTC (Monday). The past few days have been realllllly challenging and hard. Satin really wants me to go home but I know what he is trying to do. Thursday was a really hard day for me because I missed you all so much but I'm getting better everyday. Tagalog is hard but I have been told it will get better so I'll let you know next week how that is going... anyway that MTC is great except for the food and sleep. which as you know are my two favorite things haha. How is everyone at home? How was Vegas? How is dad holding up?? There are a ton of guys here from high school so it's crazy to see everyone. We went to the temple today which was nice. Thanks for the M&M's and the goldfish and thanks Peyton for the nice letter, keep them coming! There is no better feeling then to have an envelope with your name on it:) My companion is Elder Nielson from Corvallis, Oregon. I think we have been a good companionship so far. I don't think that I have been more stressed out in my life when it comes to learning a language but I'll pull through. We have learned to pray, bear testimony, and say My Purpose in Tagalog. I cant quite say it yet but practice makes perfect right? Yes, Yes it does. I hope all of you guys are doing okay without me haha jk but really. Write me often even though I wont be able to reply until Mondays I love you all and I know that this is where I need to be. P.s Jeremy thanks for the postcards they were really awesome!
